Defensa y Justicia Insider Soccer Info:
Defensa y Justicia drew 2:2 away to San Martin last weekend. For this match, each Luciano Vella and Damian Martinez will be back from suspension. Esteban Saveljich has been known as up for international duty for the first time by his nice-grandfather’s homeland of Montenegro, and as such will be missing here.

Estudiantes Insider Soccer Info:
Alvaro Pereira will be back from suspension here for Estudiantes, though he’s now on international duty with Uruguay’s Copa America aspect. On Thursday, against B Nacional leaders Santamarina de Tandil, they got a 2:1 win that sent them through to the next spherical of the Copa Argentina.

Doubtful: none
Injured/unavailable: Carlos Auzqui (right knee ligaments); Alvaro Pereira (international duty)

Head to Head:
These sides’ only previous meeting in the Primera ended in a 0-0 draw during last year’s transitional Primera campaign.

Match Preview:
Two minutes into their second half last weekend, Defensa y Justicia thought their long term without a win was finally coming to an finish. They led a 2:0 away to San Martin, and looked good price for the lead once a robust finish to the primary amount. And then, disaster struck – or rather, the defensive mistakes which have cost them lots of points recently struck, once more. They ended up hanging on to a 2:2 draw which means that they’re 10 league games without a win – though it did at least bring to an end a run of 4 straight losses.
Estudiantes are 5 games unbeaten in the league, though they’ve frustratingly drawn three of these, together with a 0:0 against Colon last weekend. That match was notable mainly for the way in which it developed as a game of Estudiantes’ attack against their opponents’ defence – and for Estudiantes’ awful finishing, which saw them manage just one shot heading in the right direction out of thirteen in total, ultimately costing them 2 points.
Really, though, it’s onerous to appear beyond the guests in this match. If Defensa y Justicia are going to get a purpose from this, it can surely be right down to Estudiantes being profligate in attack again, given the runs of form these sides are on and their relative strengths. Defensa have conceded ten in their last four games, whereas Estudiantes have let in 2 in their last four (each in matches they won anyway). This match seems like a good likelihood for Estudiantes’ attack to induce back not off course, and I expect a reasonably comfortable win.
